Our matching algorithm draws from a broad set of criteria to surface the most relevant, compatible potential matches for every member, including:
- Age range preferences
- Gender identity and preferences
- Geographic locality and distance
- Member recency and activity levels
- Desired relationship types (casual, long-term, friendship, and more)
- Lifestyle habits such as drinking and smoking preferences
- Niche interests including specific sports, hobbies, and pastimes
- Religious beliefs and moral compatibility
The platform provides the suggestions — it's up to members to make their profile stand out and spark a genuine connection. The algorithm creates the opportunity; the connection does the rest.
Improving your visibility
While Classic members receive daily matches based on the algorithm, VIP and VIP+ members benefit from significantly enhanced visibility: VIP+ members appear at the top of every potential match's match stack, Profile Boosts (available as an add-on) temporarily increase visibility to all active nearby members, and Super Matches let a message rise to the top of a recipient's inbox.

Super Matches help members break through the noise and make a memorable first impression. Your message is delivered in a distinctive colour scheme that stands out in the recipient's inbox, your profile is seen first, and the recipient can reply directly to open a full conversation. Super Match is available as a purchasable add-on for VIP+ members.

Free ID verification is available to all members regardless of tier. A verified badge reassures potential matches they're communicating with a genuine, real person — reducing catfishing concerns and building trust.
